Common beans project in Manyara

Small Enterprises Institutional Development (SEIDA) and Agro-Tanzania Organization (ATO) signed partnership agreement to implement Pulses for Inclusive Growth (PIG) Project in six district councils of Manyara Region. ATO provide Business Development Services (BDS) component of the project to 40 farmer organizations engaged in common beans production. The PIG Project is financed by Agricultural Markets Development Trust (AMDT).

ATO closely work with SEIDA field team in Babati and in close collaboration with departments of agriculture and cooperatives in each district council to improve business capacity of targeted 10,000 smallholders’ (women & youth inclusive) common beans producers as shown in the activities/events pictures below.
